Blue Ridge Lake is a large reservoir in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northern Georgia, United States. It was created in 1930 when the Toccoa River was dammed by the Blue Ridge Dam. The lake covers approximately 3,290 acres and has a shoreline of over 100 miles. The lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and hiking. The lake is home to a variety of fish species including bass, catfish, and trout. Blue Ridge Lake is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest, which provides miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
